Privacy at the Last Light

Short, because there's little to tell. Cineris is a small text game run by one person, and it keeps only what the game itself needs:

• Your email address — so your account is yours: it receives the a password-reset letter if you ever ask for one, and nothing else. No newsletters, no marketing, ever.
• Your password, hashed — stored as a one-way scrypt hash. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone who steals the file.
• Your character and their story — name, people, path, marks, inventory, quest flags, and where they were standing when you left.
• What you say in the world — chat is delivered to the room you're in; it isn't sold, mined, or used to train anything.

There are no ads, no trackers, and no third-party analytics on this site. The world keeps no cookies of its own; your browser simply remembers your session on your device.

Want your account and character deleted? Write to robert@lanternspire.com and it will be done by hand, with a confirmation letter when it's finished.
